There is an ancestor's profile that I co-manage, but there is no option for me to Export GEDCOM under the action list, which is of course disappointing.

It seems that the option to Export GEDCOM is only available from a profile that I exclusively created and manage.

Please let me know a solution how to export this GEDCOM, or if it is not possible.
Thank you

" you may only export a GEDCOM file focused on profiles that you added to Geni." is a quote from [Research] and then [GEDCOM] at the top of the screen.
Be aware that this is not related to SmartCopy.

Just to chime in. I never can get use to technological take over family history so letting new generation take over after I've been working my files actively 40 years. We use to get to know each other write exchange even chain letters. i put together file over 750k kept pretty good control with thiusands if letters etc. but now all instant fast moving impersonal. I tried to play more now with my file adding over 2 million and on way to unlimited cousins ties bet could have found 100 million but all programs I know max and stopped me so cannot add any and blocked my file. So I always offer snyone interested all my work files books what ever free let everyone have full access cause I'm done with my work. fun to meet cousins around the world take time to connect know enjoy. PS near every line of my families were here prior to Rev War with at least 5 native lines from 16 and 1700s.

Yitzchok Steinberger,

Perhaps you could better ask your question in https://www.geni.com/discussions/192543.

As far as I can remember at the moment, you should be able to to a GEDCOM export of max 5000 profiles (or max 50000 when you are a PRO member) from any profile in your family group (see https://www.geni.com/company/privacy for some information on the family group) . So by doing multiple exports you can export at least a large part of the relevant profiles.

You can do an activity export from https://www.geni.com/account_settings/download_activity/ that can tell you which profiles you added or updated so from that you may be able to find co-managers of those profiles that are wiling to do an export for you.

But if you get more than one GEDCOM you will have to find a program to join those, so you will not get duplicate profiles.

Please also keep in mind that any GEDCOM export will see the results of any tree or data conflict and (if that has not changed since when I last did an export) that surname at birth is exported as the profile name and when this is empty you will get a profile without a name.
