'''Mary Lancaster (Carter)''' was born circa October 6, 1641, in Salisbury, Essex, MA. Her parents were [Thomas Carter, of Salisbury Thomas Carter, of Salisbury] and [Mary Carter Mary Carter].

I'm doubt now if these were her parents. going by John Lancaster proven lineage, he would not have married a Bonded "Servants" Daughter!

During this time in history families married within the same social and financial status. They would not marry beneath the status.

John Lancaster would have sent for a wife from England as many upper class families in this time in America.

The Parents made sense when they were attached to the lineage that they were detached from. Now we say her father was a Bonded Servant.

I think we have Mary Lancaster (Carter) attached to the wrong set of parents. When we work genealogy we have to look at all of the surrounding lineage and remember the times, not like today's world.

Unless a shortage of women during this time?
