I did not see Webb as a spouse on the Wikitree or the FAG.
I wondered why it would be a middle name but there is likely an answer

Also, the portrait was from the FAG and it did not give details of its origin

I first noted a different set of parents on https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/31455744

While the article it cites sounded good, based on the date of the article, it was just a human interest story, and no idea how much of the information on that page is from the article. Also, the website indicated is defunct.

Finally, I have come across a transcription of a family bible, which indicates that the parents were Nathan and Ave. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Andrews_Barnett_Griffen_Bible and the probate record of Nathan on Ancestry.com. https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/8635/005764280_00651/589371?Ge...

What do others think about "proof" of the parents?

Wikitree doesn’t like it because no DAR record for Lucy Webb Barnett. I think I’m disagreeing with Wiki, but really need Faustine Darsey on partial hiatus to have a think on it.

I’m following the DNA study, which is unsure, based on the contradictions in the Presidential pedigree. Uploaded: https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000179066836277

And I think, based on Bible record with name “Lucy W. Barnett,” that she was middle name Webb, and that suggests her mother or stepmother or grandmother was Lucy Webb. If the birthdate of 1731 for Lucy Barnett is correct we have issues.

Worms, they come popping out of the can.

Let’s fill in missing siblings.
