This is Burke’s. I could be wrong, but I don’t see that this line went to Virginia.

JAMES HEREFORD, Esq. of Sufton, bapt. 23 Dec. 1634, s. his father in 1659. He m. thrice, but had issue only by Hester, dau. of Robert Holmes, Esq. of Eye, niece of Sir John Kyrle, of Much Marcle, viz.,

  • i. John, his heir.
  • ii. James, b. in 1668, m. Ann, dau. of Dr. Thomas Green, of Grosley.
  • i. Elizabeth, m. to William Harvard
  • II. Anne, b. in 1670, m. to her cousin, the Rev. Francis Broad, A.M., Prebendary of Hereford.

Mr. Hereford was buried at Mordiford, 4 Jan. 1693, and s. by his son, John.
