This profile was merged by mistake in September 2011 with that of my grand father with the same name, who lived from 1896-1983 and was married to Ella Prinsloo (Bezuidenhoudt).
This person is a brother of my grandfather's grandfather, so he is two generations back.
I tried to remove the relation between him and my grandmother (and hopefully her children), so that I can recreate the profiles of my grandfather and his siblings and re-attach them to their father in the proper location in the tree, but I cannot remove the link. It gives me a warning that I will split the tree, which is exactly what I want to do, given that the current link is wrong, and then the "remove" button remains disabled.

Hi Simon,

No, don't break the relationship of the mother, before you have corrected the relationship of her children first.

Do this by for every child:

1. go to the profile of the child who has the wrong 'father'

2 Edit, Relationship

3 In the Parents options bar select the correct combination of parents & save.

4. Once all the children has been 'moved' to the correct parents you can delete the wrong husband, also on the Edit, Relationships tab (at the bottom)

Regards

Herman
