John Gater (isolated, with a fictitious "daughter")

John Gaither (death date and place improbable, confused with a descendant? Also has a fictitious "daughter", and not the same one.)

All connections with the John Gater/Gaithers of Maryland have been broken due to the impossibility of proving who was whose son.

Note: they *assume* that John Gater I had two wives, Joan and Mary, and that the younger John Gaither who emigrated with the elder John and his wife Joan in 1635 disappeared without a trace. The evidence, such as it is, is extremely sketchy and can be read either way.
