This Elizabeth Johnson Blake was the daughter of Nathaniel Johnson and Mary (Smith) Johnson born abt. 1678 in Roxbury, Mass. A different Elizabeth Johnson dau. of Isaac Johnson and Mary (Harris) Johnson was born 19 Feb 1680/81 in Middletown, CT. She d. Aug. 13, 1768, unm. according to "Genealogy of Captain John Johnson". p. 10 and 16. Elizabeth Johnson Blake died Mar. 17 1735/36 (wid. of John Blake who died in 1724.

The Inventory of the Estate of Nathaniel Johnson, Sr., of Woodstock deced 14 Feb 1698-9, apprized this 19 June 1699, by us Phillip Eastman, Matthew Davis, Samuel Perin, and Exhibited by Smith Johnson son and admr, 29 June 1699.

The above probate record and the following deed are given in order to show that John Blake did not marry Elizabeth Johnson, the daughter of Isaac and Mary (Harris) Johnson, b. 19 Feb. 1681, but Elizabeth Johnson, the daughter of Nathaniel and Mary (Smith) Johnson.

John Blake, the son of John and Sarah Blake, was b. 19 May 1683, Middletown, Conn.; m. Elizabeth Johnson 20 Oct. 1705 Middletown; d. 8 Dec. 1724 Middletown, as John Blake Senr.; the widow Elizabeth Blake d. 17 Mar. 1735-6 Middletown.(Suff. Deed XXVII: 243, and other deeds to p. 246) Woodstock 8 Dec. 1709.

John Blake of Middle Town, Co. Hartford, weaver, who married with Elizabeth Johnson Daughter unto Nathanael Johnson late of Woodstock, Co. Suff., and Elizabeth my wife, having received of our Brother Smith Johnson of Woodstock lands by the name of the homelott number eighty of 47 acres and a half, & fifteen pounds ten shillings in money for our proportion of the Estate of the said deced.

In presence of Edward Bridge, John Chandler, John Bacons.
Suff. ss. Woodstock, 22 May 1710, Elizabeth Blake personally acknowledged the deed. Rec. 21 Oct. 1713.

Thank you, Erica Howton! This is very good to know and I am seeing a relationship path with each woman so I really wanted to get them straight. ESECIALLY since there's been confusion in the past! I will revisit today and make sure I gave Jonathan his children that were on John's profile. The two Elizabeths-- do we KNOW who the daughter of Isaac married?

Ok-- I gave "my" ELizabeth that I added from the sources a new John Blake husband. Made the disconnects and now the MP John has this:

Birth date of Sarah Babb (Blake) and her brother Stephan Blake are within 8 months.
Sarah Babb (Blake) born after the death of her father John Blake.
Stephan Blake born after the death of his father John Blake.

The profile for the MP Elizabeth has note that the FaG dates are different --- she has apparently been smushed for a while?
