Pattie Aylett's name was probably Martha Waller Aylett but I can't be sure. Pattie is a Virginia nickname for Martha, believe it or not.

Who migrated to the Philippines.

@patsy, that's very interesting! if your hypothesis is true, and she died 1899 (which was the start of the Spanish-American War in the Philippines), then she must have been adventurous. At the time, not very many people spoke English here -- just Spanish and the local dialects.

She died so young -- 36. Did she die in the Philippines? I'm sure there was hostility against Americans during that period.
