Hello,
Could you please do this merge...thank you !

http://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000075341353995?return=merge_...

Private User - Back when merging was something a Pro user could do but a Basic User could not, this discussion was created so Pro users could help by doing merges for Basic Users. You are a Pro User. If you cannot do something,
You want the Discussion asking a Curatot to help - https://www.geni.com/discussions/216411

Thank you.

Hello Oliver
these projects/help topics may help you -
Merge Guide and https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/360055684513-How-do-I-view-...

At the bottom of the comparison profiles see View a side-by-side descendant or ancestor report for additional information which can help decide if the merges are correct or not.

1. - collaborate/contact Lori Basile (Kirby) - on the face of it it looks good except for the birth name of Sarah - Smith/Dunnington
2. Three matches, i) is US based the other UK - rejected; ii) is good to merge, other manager inactive; https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000177516439832?return=match%3B&to=6000000085599094932 iii) is not a match.
3. See comparison descendants - https://www.geni.com/list/descendants/6000000085599094932?compare_id=6000000177516439832#4 Some questions arising around marriage to Sarah Dunnington - other manager inactive
4. - Five matches. i) no dates in comparison - but looks to be not a match - rejected ii) Different parents, comparison looks wrong - rejected iii) Dates, places and parents don't match - rejected iv) Comparison shows different time period - rejected v) Also wrong time period - rejected
5. - Six matches listed - If you are certain of the parents being John Wilson and Elizabeth Ellyott then 5 can be rejected right away as mothers are not a match; also time periods are way out. The last one is also rejected because of the time period.
6 - Nine Matches 3 of which rejects because they are US based. Your profile "Son of John Wilson and Sarah Dunnington" so further 5 rejected. On comparison the 9th is also a reject - different time period, parents and wife
7. - Five matches - 3 of those US based, the other two have different husbands

8 - 13 matches; 5 rejected being US based; further 7 were rejected because parents and wives not matched; the descendants of last two were compared

8i) - look at https://www.geni.com/list/descendants/6000000008162468524?compare_id=6000000177465997853#4 some chance that it is a match as birth dates and location are similar. The other manager is inactive, new manager would be Rachelle Ann Huntsman so may be worth contacting her;
8ii) Looking at comparison https://www.geni.com/list/descendants/6000000153807830839?compare_id=6000000177465997853 suggests not a match, but worth contacting the managers of John Wilson to see if they have further information.

I hope this helps. It is always worth looking at these matches - mostly way out - but best to reject incorrect merges to avoid others processing them.

To view Tree Matches which have been removed from a profile use the following in the URL address bar -
https://www.geni.com/search/matches/ adding the profile ID number immediately after the forward slash

Thanks for your help I will look into these matches and see if they are correct

Oliver Stephen Thomas if you collaborate with other users working on the same part of the tree you can use Geni search to access profiles managed by those collaborators.

I've got pro for a while longer this year so if anyone needs help merging or poking at brick walls let me know :)

This thread doesn't really get used since Geni changed it's set up so that any user (even basic/free) can merge any two Public profiles, regardless of who manages them.

Private - thank you for your offer of help
