Cycles in the Beans and Wildmans

‹ Back to Documents Associated With Daniel Moretti

for the Bean ancestry, it is best to look back from Sarah Hunter. I've created
a historylink pie-chart of ancestors. Look for it under photos attached to this project.

Cycle #1

Michael M. van Beuren (b.1952) → Phoebe R. Archbold (Wildman)
his mother → Franklin Brown Wildman her father → Frank Black Wildman
his father → Barclay Wildman his father → Jonathan Wildman his father → Martin Wildman
his father → Joseph Wildman, Jr. his father → Joseph Wildman, Sr. his father →
John Wildman his brother → Marah B. Chapman his wife → John Croasdale
her husband → Alice Potts(Croasdale), his sister….BUT…. Alice is
a direct great grandmother of the wife of Franklin Brown Wildman (at top)

The key here is that Marah Chapman had two husbands
John Wildman
&
John Croasdale… both of these were Lancashire families.

John Wildman is Franklin B. Wildman's xx great uncle
John Croasdale is his wife Elizabeth Lee Bean's xx great grandfather

All of this has to do with the Quaker immigrant culture of Bucks County.

Cycle #2

Elizabeth Worstall (Wildman) is my 7th great grandmother but through the Worstalls(!)

Michael M. van Beuren (b.1952 → Phoebe R. Archbold (Wildman)

his mother → Franklin Brown Wildman
her father → Frank Black Wildman
his father → Margaret Linton Wildman (Black)
his mother → Rachel Shaw Black (Wells)
her mother → Phebe Wells (Shaw)
her mother → Pleasent Shaw (Worstall)
her mother → James Worstall
her father → Elizabeth Worstall (Wildman) his mother
→ Martin Wildman her father (the immigrant)

By a straight male line an alternate pedigree has all Wildman men in it back to the
immigrant Martin…

Cycle #3

Robert Taylor & Mary Taylor (Hayes) (of Cheshire, England & Springfield PA) had, among other
children, two daughters: Rachel & Phebe).
Both are direct Bean ancestors… One married a LIVESEY and the other married a MASSEY.

The separate Massey and Livesey lines converged generations later… and yielded ELizabeth
Bean, my grandmother.

Phebe Massey (Taylor) is your 9th great grandmother.

my mother → Elizabeth Lee (Bean) Wildman
her mother → Sarah Bean (Hunter)
her mother → P. Frank Hunter
her father → Rebecca Ann Hunter (Pechin)
his mother → George Pechin
her father → Rebecca Pechin (Hunter)
his mother → Hannah Maris
her mother → Jesse Maris
her father → Hannah Maris (Massey)
his mother → Phebe Massey (Taylor) her mother

and now Phebe's sister Rachel :

Rachel Gilbert Livezey (Taylor) is your 8th great grandmother.
You
my mother → Elizabeth Lee (Bean) Wildman
her mother → Sarah Bean (Hunter)
her mother → Mary Hunter (Albertson)
her mother → J. Morton Albertson
her father → Martha Albertson (Livezey)
his mother → Samuel Livezey
her father → Thomas Livezey, Jr.
his father → Thomas Livezey
his father → Rachel Gilbert Livezey (Taylor) his mother

Cycle #4 (I believe this happens in the Hunters, too

Cycle # 5 (on the Bean side
https://www.geni.com/people/Jacob-Shoemaker/6000000002301009015 and his wife
https://www.geni.com/people/Margaret-Potts/6000000001164988030 are 8th great
grandparents… but she is also my 9th great aunt…. because she is in two lines:

Margaret Potts is your 9th great aunt.

MMVB (me) → Phoebe R. Archbold (Wildman) ny mother → Elizabeth Lee (Bean) Wildman
her mother → Sarah Bean (Hunter) her mother → P. Frank Hunter her father → Rebecca Ann Hunter (Pechin) his mother → Mary Broades Pechin her mother → Ann Broadess (Currie)
her mother → Hannah Currie (Potts) her mother → Ezekiel Potts her father → David Potts
his father → Margaret Potts his sister

but Margaret's husband comes up through the Albertson line too:

Jacob Shoemaker is your 8th great grandfather.

MMVB → Phoebe R. Archbold (Wildman) your mother → Elizabeth Lee (Bean) Wildman her mother→ Sarah Bean (Hunter) her mother → Mary Hunter (Albertson) her mother → J. Morton Albertso her father → Jacob Albertson his father → Jacob Albertson his father → Susanna Albertson(Shoemaker) his mother → George Shoemaker her father → Jacob Shoemaker his fathe

Cycle #6

Edward Pearson m (1) Sarah Burgess who married (2nd for both) Martin Wildman who
married (1) Ann Ward….
All were immigrants to Bucks County.
Sarah & Edward had a descendant by the maiden name of Rachel Stradling.
Martin & Ann had one named Jonathan Wildman.
Rachel S. married Jonathan W. in the early 1800s…

Cycle #7

https://www.geni.com/people/James-Paxson/6000000006599009986 &
https://www.geni.com/people/William-Paxson/6000000006598301421 are immigrant brothers.

Then:
https://www.geni.com/people/Thomas-Paxson/6000000006598803517 married his 2nd cousin
Ann Paxon from whence our line descends

Cycle #8

https://www.geni.com/path/James-Dilworth+is+related+to+Edward-Roberts?from=6000000002904781901&to=6000000008670528101
James Dilworth is a Bean immigrant ancestor (James Dilworth is my 8th great grandfather)
Edward Roberts is a Wildman immigrant ancestor (Edward Roberts is my 6th great grandfather)
Edward Roberts is James Dilworth's daughter's husband's sister's husband!

Cycle #9

https://www.geni.com/people/John-Brown-1710-1753/4554754754180044613 and his wife
https://www.geni.com/people/Hannah-Brown/4554754775890014236 had, among others, a son and a daughter.
Each of this children are direct ancestors.. through the Wildman side.

Cycle #10
https://www.geni.com/path/Michael-M-van-Beuren+is+related+to+James-Browne-II?from=6000000019182195571&to=4381503003590080113 (is one way)
and then James Browne II is directly related to Frank Brown Wildman's MOTHER (!)
For example Albert Pearson Brown is James Browne, II's fourth great grandson. and his niece (Mattie Brown) is Frank Brown Wildman's mother
James Browne, II
→ WIlliam Brown
his son → John Brown
his son → John Brown, Jr.
his son → Nathan Brown
his son → Ezra Brown
his son → Edward L. Brown
his son → Mattie Brown his daughter → Frank B. Wildman her husband

Cycle #11
The Lanes (on the Bean side)
vs.
The Naylors (on the Wildman side)
look at this path:
https://www.geni.com/path/Michael-M-van-Beuren+is+related+to+Cecilia-Lane?from=6000000019182195571&to=6000000004053625302 (this is the Bean side of it. The thing is,
Cecilia Lane also had a son Bernard who grand daughter was https://www.geni.com/people/Mary-Naylor/6000000000130395611.
Now the Naylors are on the WILDMAN side of the equation. Mary's husband is John Naylor (1692-1743)of Northampton Township, Bucks County… John mother https://www.geni.com/people/Rebecca-Searle/6000000002048223607 is the direct Wildman ancestor.

Now this isn't a true cycle because it is only by marriage. Nonetheless it shows to close cultural ties between Frank to his wife Libby Wildman (Bean).

Heretofore I had thought that the Lanes were quite distinct from my Wildman side of the family, being as they were only temporary Quakers and then strong Anglicans. I would like to find out more about Bernard Lane (1662-1715) https://www.geni.com/people/Bernard-Lane/6000000003949526425 .

Cycle #12
Matthew Wildman, immigrant son, who is an uncle in the direct Wildman line is also a x-great grandfather:
https://www.geni.com/path/Michael-M-van-Beuren+is+related+to+Elizabeth-Shaw?from=6000000019182195571&to=6000000052828837162
(Matthew's daughter Elizabeth married a <SHAW> who is in the <BLACK> line.
These two lines reunite in Frank BLACK Wildman.
