• Married, secondly, Ava Loel Willing, daughter of Edward Shippen Willing and Alice Barton, in 1919.
• Ded on 21 October 1925 at age 70, without surviving male issue.
• Captain in the Rifle Brigade.
• Succeeded as the 4th Baron Ribblesdale, of Gisburne Park, co. York [G.B., 1797] on 25 August 1876.
• Lord-in-Waiting to HM Queen Victoria between 1880 and 1885.
• Master of the Royal Buckhounds between 1892 and 1895.
