• Died on 28 August 1915 at age 27, from wounds received in action.
• Educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, and at Balliol College, Oxford University
• Attaché in the Diplomatic Service in 1910.
• 2nd Lieutenant in 1914 in the Middlesex Hussars.
• Fought in the Gallipoli Campaign, with the Royal Naval Division, and was wounded three times.
