My Charity Savilla Welborn (1840-1919) married Willaim Greenbury Gore. They are listed on the 1870, Ellisville, Jones Co., MS Census. They were in Anderson Co., TX by 1880. This is where they both died. Charity's father was Albert Gallatin Welborn b. 27 April 1813 in Anderson Co., SC, he died 5 Feb 1890 in Anderson Co., TX. His wife was Nancy Murphy who was born 1816 in Elisville, Jones Co., MS died 10 Jan 1869 in SC. I have Albert's father as Moses Welborn, (1786-1834); then James Welborn, (1764-1841); then James Welborn Sr. (1736-1811). James Sr was born in MD and died in KY. Aaron Welborn, Sr Birth: Oct. 13, 1760 Rowan County, North Carolina, Death: Oct. 6, 1843 Anderson County, South Carolina,

Aaron & his brother James Welborn were living in Old 96 District which was called Pendleton District (now Anderson County, SC)in 1790. Both were in the revolutionary war. Both had a land grant South of White Plains Church, between Williamston and Allen Shoals on Saluda River. James and Aaron married sisters, Rebecca and Elizabeth Younger, daughters of James Younger who was born 1737.

The old Welborn home place in 1790 was East of Old West Pelzer School House. At this place Thomas Welborn was born August 1, 1790 (Grave marker shows July 11, 1789). He married Polly (Mary) Martin, a daughter of Thomas Martin and Hester Roundtree born in 1770. They had twelve children.
