5 Martha Idella Field, born August 31, 1864 in Arcadia, Bienville, Louisiana. Died March 25, 1928 in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana near Arcadia, Louisiana. Married Thomas Lane Rogers on November 1, 1883. Hi Elaine,
This Sheila is listing the children of Cornelius as listed in Mayo Bundy's book. Mayo assumed that the Absalom who moved to St. Clair Co., AL (and died there) to be the son of Cornelius. And that may be correct....there is no documentation . I do not think Mayo did any research in Georgia and I doubt he even knew there was another Absalom until after his first book was published.

This is, also, the same Absalom written about in the book by Jeannie Murphy and Jo Autrey...it says he had a son, Cornelius, who moved to Perry Co., AL and was the father of the Absalom who went to LA. I did enough research on the Absalom who wa s a Tory and who went to Alabama to know that he was a different man to our Absalom who went to Georgia.

This list was given to my by Bernard S. Awtrey in the the 70's and he said that his "Uncle John" had done the research. I have never tracked all of them down, but have corresponded with descendants of many of them.
Your #6 source listed "Bob Deal"....could you tell me who he is and if you think he is part of my Deal family. If so, I would like to correspond with him. There was a Deal family left in Georgia whom I have never gotten connected with..he ma y be that connection.
