The following birthdays are listed; Joseph-5/1865, Adeline-5/1870, Bertha-7/1886, Sarah-10/1889, Harry-6/1890, Solomon-5/1899 and Bernhard 7/1862. Everyone was born in Russia except for Solomon. Joseph immigrated in 1889, Adeline immigrated in 1897 with Bertha, Sarah and Harry and Bernhard immigrated in 1900. Joseph and Bernhard worked as tailors.
1905 NY State Census: Joseph (43) and Adel (39) Rosenstein lived at 56 Broome St. in Manhattan with Bertha (18), Sarah (16) and Sol (6). Boarding with them was Wolf Kadetzky (20) who had arrived in America 4 years prior. He is listed as a tailor.
1910 US Census: Joseph (48) and Adel (40) Rosenstein lived at 308 Henry St in Manhattan NY wit children Bertha (19), Sarah (18) and Solly (10). Joseph and Adel had been married for 23 years. Everyone was born in Russia except for Solly who was born in New York. Joseph immigrated in 1892 and the rest of the family immigrated in 1894.
1920 US Census: Joseph (55) and Adel (49) Rosenstein lived at 189 Atkins Ave, Brooklyn NY with children Sarah (23) and Sol (19). Sarah worked as a bookkeeper for insurance. Curiously at the time Hyman (28) and Clara (22) Kadetsky, the son of Benjamin Josef Kadetsky, lived at the same address with their son Harry (9 months old).
1930 US Census: Joseph (60) and Adel (55) Rosenstein lived at 544 Logan Ave, Brooklyn NY with grandchildren Helen (11) and Irving (14) Fleischer. Joseph was 21 and Adel was 16 when they married. The grandchildren were born in North Carolina.
