Adolf Schamroth

Schamroth Rapeport N. The Schamroth from Krakow in Antwerp Belgium. 2017 He was born on the 12th August 1907 in Cracow Austria and was the son of Moses Schamroth and Scheindel / Sala Honigwachs. When he came to Belgium in 1929, his parents were resident in Kraków at Ulica Dietla number 3. He came to Belgium on the 15th October 1929 from Cuba. He stayed with his oom (uncle) David and worked for him as a pelsenmaker (fur maker). In Cuba he worked as a bediende (clerk) in a hotel in the town of Santiago de Cuba.10 His last address was the Hotel Centro Gallego Lorraine Alte 12. His identity document was issued by the Austrian Consul in Havana Cuba and was valid until the 17th March 1930. He lived with his uncle at Plantin en Moretuslei number 65.

In 1931 he applied for a travel pass. Seven years later, in 1938 he immigrated to the USA. He travelled on the ship S.S. Ada Marris to Quebec Canada and arrived in New York on the 27th July 1938.11, 12 He married his third cousin, Leonore Schamroth, daughter of Sydney and Minnie Schamroth
