About Adolph Karl Wilhelm Buchhold
Adolph Karl Wilhelm Buchhold was "Head Forester for the Kaiser of Germany" - from "Following Love's Journey: A Narrative of Harry Kerrick Yann and Augusta Katrinka (Catherine) Buchhold" by Mary Jane (Yann) Stapp, June 1998.
Before Germany existed as a country Bärweiler, where Karl Wilhelm's children and his father Carl Frederick were born, was ceded around 1816 to the Landgrave/Landgraf of Hesse-Homburg. Hesse-Homburg was formed into a separate landgraviate in 1622 by the landgrave of Hesse-Darmstadt; it was to be ruled by his son, although it did not become independent of Hesse-Darmstadt until 1668. -- Jackie Wayne Roberts, Jr.
