Adolph Philip Buchhold

Adolph's uncle on his mother's side, August Fabel, was in the leather business with Conrad & Fabel Leather Company with offices in Louisville and Cincinnati. August had immigrated to the US before Adolph and his brothers Rudolph and Carl. When Rudolph and later, Carl and Adolph came to America, August gave them positions with the the leather company.

He could read, write, and speak English. The head of household whose name is hard to read but could be "Horst" Winklerk, born January 1852, was also a tanner.
