Agnes/Agnieszka left Czapiewice, Poland in April 1892 and crossed the Atlantic on the SS Illinois on the Antwerp to Philadelphia run with her brothers Jozef and Andrew and her sisters Julianna and Catherine/Katarzyna and their families. They arrived in Philadelphia on May 5. The group went to Walsh County, North Dakota.
At about 1900 Agnes married a widower named Jacob Kalka, who had a number of children. He and Agnes had at least one more child. They are both buried in Walsh County, Agnes, grave is at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Minto.
