Albert Charles Amies was born on February 6, 1889, in Oamaru, North Otago, New Zealand. His parents were Albert Robert Amies and Janet Lessells Hay.[1][2][3]
Albert married Annie Jane Amies on January 25, 1912, in the office of the Registrar of Marriages, Dunedin.[2] Together they had the following children: Gladys Ella May Amies;[4][5] Charles Franklyn George Amies;[5][6] Janetta Annie Amies;[5] Merle Isabel Amies;[5] George Robert Ferguson Amies;[5] Stanley David Amies;[5] Nolene Jessica Amies.[5]
He passed away on March 25, 1961, at 50 Chester Street, Christchurch[3] and was buried March 28, 1961, in Ruru Lawn Cemetery, Christchurch.[3][7][8]
