Albert Robert Amies

Biography

Albert Robert Amies was born in 1861 in Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand. His parents were Robert Bacon Amies and Elizabeth Doughty.[1][2]

Albert married Janet Lessells Hay on October 29, 1884, in the home of Charles Hay, Halfway Bush, Dunedin.[2] Together they had the following children: Lillian Jessie Portis;[3] May Elizabeth Amies;[4] Albert Charles Amies;[5] Daisy Beatrice Robertson;[6] George Henry Amies;[7] Ivy Charlotte Latimer;[8] Rose Olive Poole;[9] Myrtle Florence Amies;[10] Olive Irvine Maindonald.[11]

He died on July 19, 1929, in Oamaru[12] and was buried in Oamaru Old Cemetery.[13]
