Albert Ernest Gorham

Landaline Florence, Lena & Albert died from the Diphtheria Epedemic on July7th, 11th and 23rd July 1886 respectively. A fourth child, Harriet died on September 2nd 1886. The graves of these four children are near where the family home then stood. They have been neatly restored and fenced. No trace of the old home remains, and it is quite possible that this house of death may have been abandoned and destroyed, for it was about this time that a second home was built a little distance away. In 1890 however, a third and more substantial home was constructed. It was the first stone home in the district and is still in use. Abe called his new home "Florence Vale".
