Albert Lyman was the son of Anna Margaret and Rev. Theodore Benedict Lyman; husband of Mary Jane Buckett Lyman; and father of Albert E. Lyman, Jean Broening, Mary Jane Broening and Robert Lyman.
Dr. Lyman lived at 1504 Sharp Street in Baltimore and was a well-known physician and Scholar. He was a graduate of Wadham College in Oxford England; and studied medicine in London, Dublin and Germany.
During the Franco-Prussian War, Dr. Lyman volunteered to accompany the Prussian army in service of the Red Cross. For his work, he was awarded a war medal by the German Government.
