OBITUARY:( Undated: after 3.10.1904.) We have also to chronicle the death of Mr a BECKMANN of George Street, Moonta which took place on Monday night. Mr BECKMANN had only been ill for a week, from inflammation of the lungs. From the first his condition was considered serious, but his friends were in hopes that he would survive the attack. On Sunday night, however, the complaint had so firmly established itself that his case was considered almost hopeless, and on Monday night he slipped away while quietly talking to his friends. Mr BECKMANN was a comparatively young man, being only 42 years of age, and leaves a widow and six children, none of whom had passed their teens, Deceased had for many years been employed on the local tram lines as a driver, and was most popular with the travelling public. His most obliging and kindly disposition won for him a very wide circle of friends, who sincerely regret his early demise and deeply sympathise with the sorrowing widow and family. The funeral on Tuesday afternoon was well attended, the service being conducted by the Rector of All Saints, Rev. J. BULTAEL, M.A. The employees on the trams and railway at the local stations were in atttendance and took up a position each side of the hearse on its way from the house to the cemetery.

NOTICE: BECKMANN:- On the 3rd of October, at Moonta, Albert, the beloved husband of J.T. BECKMANN and the youngest son of the late F. BECKMANN, of Gawler, aged 42 years. Leaving a widow and six children to mourn their loss. THANKS: Mrs A BECKMANN and Family desire to express their sincere Thanks to their many kind friends for expressions of sympathy and floral tributes during their sad bereavement.
