Alice Young, mother of this Alis is probably the wife of Jo hn Young, who had land recorded at Windsor as early as 1640 . He sold his land there in 1649 and perhaps is the John Yo ung who later appeared in Stratford where he died in 1661 . They were probably the parents of the Alice Young who m . Simon Beamon at Springfield in 1654. Thomas Beamon, son o f Alice Young Beamon sued a man in 1677 forsaying that "hi s mother was a witch, and he looked like one." (Demos, p. 5 05.)
