"Nistler Rites At Eden Valley, Minn.
"Funeral services were held Friday, May 8, for Aloys A. Nistler at the Assumption Church in
Eden Valley, Minn. Reverends Edward Nistler and Peter Snyers officiated at the services
and the children's choir sang. Aloys passed away on May 5 at the age of 66 years.
"Aloys Nistler was born on July 25, 1904 [sic - July 24, 1903] in Eden Valley, the son of
Anton and Mary Nistler.
"He is survived by eight brothers and two sisters: Frank X of Grove City [MN], Leo, Werner,
Walter, and Mrs. Francis (Marie) Hollar of Beach, Adolph and Leonard of Eden Valley,
Peter of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Leander (Ann) Schoolmeesters of Forest City [MN], and
John of Frazee [MN].
"Mr. Nistler was an active member of the St. Joseph Society, Sportsman Club, and the
volunteer fire department. He was engaged in carpentry for the majority of his active
career. He also spent a number of years on the Eden Valley police force.
"Pallbearers were six nephews: Lester, Joe, John, Kenneth Nistler, Joe Schoolmeesters
and Earl Hollar. Honorary pallbearers were William Blomker, Roman Rassmeisl, George
Schmit, Elmer Leis, Joe Fink and Lloyd Bischop. "Interment was at the Assumption Cemetery in Eden Valley."
