Daughter of Calvin W. and Emmaline McKinney. She married her first cousin, Mortimer "Lee" McKinney, son of Andrew and Hannah Smith McKinney.
We are sorry to report the death of Mrs. Lee McKinney, who passed away Friday, June 5. She had been sick near 5 weeks with stomach and liver trouble. Everything possible was done by relatives and friends to relieve her sufferings, but to no avail. She leaves a husband, four girls and three boys, all of whom were at her bedside during the last, besides a mother, several brothers and sisters to mourn the loss of a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She was a good christian woman, having belonged to New Hope Baptist Church for a number of years. Burial took place at Ozark Saturday in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends, funeral services being conducted by Rev. T. L. Hays. We extend our sincere sympathy to the bereaved loved ones.
