About Amiable Elizabeth Woody

Amiable Elizabeth was the daughter of Zachariah Isbell Sr. and Sarah (whose maiden name some believe was Abney) and sister of Parthenia Isbell Woody and Florenetine Isbell Pendleton. Florentine rests at the Burd Family Cemetery in Osage County just north of Babbtown. Her sister Parthenia rests with her here at the Woody Cemetery.

In 1831, Amiable married Jacob Holloway, and in 1857 married Soloman Kimzey. Sometime after 1866 she married Davis S Woody Sr. Her sister Parthenia was Davis S Woody's first wife. Inscription: The marker states: "Also to the memory of his 2d. wife Elizabeth born October 10, 1814, Died Nov'r 18, 1876. Her memory is precious to her children." Refer to the caption on the burial marker photo under Davis S Woody who also rests here at the Woody Cemetery.

Note: The marker on the two other side's has memorials to her sister, and her husband, Davis Woody. The marker is made of metal and the concrete base it sits on was designed with a lip so that the marker sits tightly on the base.
