Andrew McKenzie was a convict "Exile" and one of the last convicts to be transported to NSW. He was transported for 7 years for stealing stocking and tried in Edinburgh 9 November 1847, arrived on the Randolph 24 Dec 1849. Fist landing at Port Phillip and then disembarking in Sydney. He immediately received his "Ticket of Leave" and was located in Murrurundi NSW to serve the rest of his sentence. Andrew was killed in 1900 in an accident while trying to stop a runaway horse and dray and was crushed by the over turned dray.
