Andrew Plender

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 17, at the First Reformed Church at Orange City for Andrew Plender, 87, of Orange City, who died August 13.

Services were conducted by the Rev. R. an Heukelom and burial was made in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.

Born October 18, 1880, in the Netherlands, Mr. Plender came to the U.S. as a boy. He was married to Minnie Mouw June 24, 1905. The couple farmed in Sioux County for many years. Mrs. Plender passed away in 1937. In 1943 he retired from farming and moved into Orange City.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Henry G. De Haan, Mrs. Franklin Muilenburg, Mrs. William Ter Horst, Mrs. Joe W. Kleinhesselink, Mrs. Arie Bloemendaal, Mrs. Frank A. Vander Maaten and Mrs. Ray Faber, all of Orange City: a son, Henry, of Orange City: one sister, Mrs. Arie Boone, of Orange City; 36 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
