1862 Milwaukee City Directory: SE corner of E. Water and Ogden

Andrew and Annie Kluck, immigrated to America and arrived in Canada July 24, 1861 on the Elbe. In November of the same year they removed to Milwaukee, the grandmother following her husband in 1862 on the Orpheus. She died in Milwaukee in 1862, when about 60 years of age. Andrew Kluck then came to Portage County and died here about 1880, at age 84. Their children were John, Leonard, Vincent, Michael, August, Julia, and Paulina.


He came to America from Poland on the ship Orpheus on July 29, 1862. The ship arrived in New York, NY. Arriving at the same time were his wife Anna; children Julia; Leonard and his wife and three children; John and his wife Anna and their 5 children. The rest of his family followed soon thereafter.
