Hardin County Ledger, Jan 16 1913 page 7:
Mrs M. Halloran died at her home in Swaledale Monday. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kate Lamm, left for Swaledale Tuesday to be present at the last sad rites. Mrs. Halloran lived for a number of years on the east line of Grant township.
Note about the above brief obituary: I think it incorrectly identifies Kate Lamm as Ann Carroll Halloran's daughter-in-law, when she was her niece. Catherine “Kate” Carroll Lamm Lynch, 1882-1980 (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/74615632), was the daughter of Ann's brother John Carroll and Catherine Keenan Carroll.
Ann's estate was contested by her children:
Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette, p 1, April 4 1913, Cedar Rapids IA:
CONTEST HALLORAN ESTATE.
Mason City, Iowa, April 4 — The first of a series of suits which are promised to result before the estate of the late Mrs. Ann Halloran is settled has been filed. Mrs. Halloran Fahey, a daughter of the dead woman, seeks to stop Robert H. Halloran, a son, from claiming any interest in the estate.
Mrs. Halloran left an estate valued at $35,000.
[Note: "Mrs. Halloran Fahey" apparently refers to Mary Halloran, who married Thomas Fahey.]
from the 1883 book History of Franklin and Cerro Gordo Counties, Iowa, pages 507 & 508:
Michael Holloran ... was married to Ann Carroll in 1859. By this union there are eleven children : Mary, Kate, Martin J., Julia, Frank P., Annie Maggie, John W., Michael Edward, Thomas Joseph, and Robert Henry. Mary was married to Thomas Fahey in 1880.

In the following 1880 census the ages given match up with other sources for Ann and the children, but the age of 50 given for Michael is way off. According to his grave marker, Michael should have been around 43 at the time of this census.

Ackley World Journal Thursday, October 27, 1921, Ackley, Iowa:
Here From St. Paul, Minn.
Robert and John Halloran of St. Paul, Minn., arrived in the city the first of the week, and are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fahey, the latter their sister. The "boys" are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Halloran who are pleasantly recalled by friends who knew them well as pioneer residents of south Franklin county, always cheery, and hospitable.
Robert, John and another brother, Ed, have been at St. Paul several years, the latter a practicing physician, conducts a sanitarium in the city. Friends will also be interested in knowing that Tom, another brother, who was for some time engaged in the drug business in Ackley, lives at Sioux City.
Their stay in Ackley will extend through the week; they will visit at the home of their brother, Frank and Mrs. Halloran, north of Ackley, before returning to St. Paul.
