JACK HALLORAN
Died at St. Paul, Minn., Monday; Burial at Swaledale, Wednesday.
Relatives in the city received intelligence Tuesday of the death of Jack Halloran, at St. Paul, Minnesota, Monday. He had been making his home in that city during the several years past; his brother Ed, has also been a resident there several years.
Mr. Halloran visited at the home of his brother, Frank, and at the home of Thomas Fahey during the past summer; his health had not been good for a number of years, but he was well enough to be out and around.
Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Halloran, among the early day residents of Osceola township, the old home place three miles north of Ackley; Jack was born and grew to manhood there. He was one of a large family of children and is survived by his brothers, Frank of this city; Thomas at Sioux City; Ed and Robert at St. Paul; and one sister, Mrs. Jas. McCauley of Swaledale, the other members of the family who have preceded him in death, besides his parents, are Matt, Mrs. George Mulligan, Mrs. F. Raw, Mrs. Wm. Raw, Mrs. John Hays, and Mrs. Thomas Fahey.
Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Swaledale, Wednesday forenoon; Mrs. Frank Halloran and son Earl attended. Deceased was a man of pleasing personality; always agreeable and cheerful, and many of his friends and home-folks here regret his death.

Mason City Iowa Globe Gazette Jan 21 1929:

Ackley World Journal Thursday, October 27, 1921, Ackley, Iowa:
Here From St. Paul, Minn.
Robert and John Halloran of St. Paul, Minn., arrived in the city the first of the week, and are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fahey, the latter their sister. The "boys" are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Halloran who are pleasantly recalled by friends who knew them well as pioneer residents of south Franklin county, always cheery, and hospitable.
Robert, John and another brother, Ed, have been at St. Paul several years, the latter a practicing physician, conducts a sanitarium in the city. Friends will also be interested in knowing that Tom, another brother, who was for some time engaged in the drug business in Ackley, lives at Sioux City.
Their stay in Ackley will extend through the week; they will visit at the home of their brother, Frank and Mrs. Halloran, north of Ackley, before returning to St. Paul.
