Ann ARMSDEN (aka HARMSDEN) was born c1763

Ann was convicted of highway robbery and was sentenced to 14 years transportation (Some records also say 7 years). She arrived in Sydney Cove on 3/6/1790 on "Lady Juliana"

Ann was sent to Norfolk Island on "Surprise"

Ann married George LEGGE in 1791 on Norfolk Island

Ann returned to Sydney in August 1795

In June 1807, Her husband George drowned

Ann married George TALBOT on 2/7/1810 at St Phillips, Sydney

Ann died 24/11/1835 at Sydney

NOTE: there appears to be a discrepancy in Ann's sentence. Some sites say 7 years, others say 14 years. Ann also could not leave Australia in 1822 because she had not received a certificate of freedom which were usually only given for sentences of life.

NOTE: The site where Ann ARMSDEN and George LEGGE lived in part of an archeological dig "Big Dig Archaeology"
