https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=52329361

There is no evidence that this Anna/Hannah is the daughter of Capt. Anthony Eames. William Ford's wife Anna died in 1686. Thomas Wilder's wife Anna died in 1692. They are both listed as daughter of Anthony Eames.

There is no evidence that this Anna/Hannah is the wife of William Ford. The death of Thomas Wilder's wife Anna/Hannah is given as 1692 in several sources. However, the death of William Ford's wife Anna/Hannah is given as 1 Sep 1684.

regarding William Ford: Moore Families, pp. 264-75, gives an account of his life and his family. In 1671 he gave his age as sixty-seven, and thus was born ca. 1604. His wife Anna, or Hannah, _____ died in 1684;

Place of death has also been (correctly?) reported to be Lancaster, Worcester County, Massachusetts.

Notes from Kevin Avery on Find A Grave Memorial# 52329361

She married Thomas Wilder in April 1640 or 1641 at Charlestown,MA.

From recent research, it is said to be doubtful that she was of the Eames family, and definitely not a daughter of Anthony Eames. However, it is possible she was his niece. Thomas and Anna (Eames) Rose did have a daughter Hannah born in 1622. Anna (Eames) Rose is said to be a sister of Anthony Eames). This appears to be the most plausible theory of Anna's identity.

Children:

  1. Mary Wilder [Allen?],
  2. Thomas Wilder Jr,
  3. John Wilder,
  4. Elizabeth Wilder [Bowers?]*,
  5. Nathaniel Wilder, and
  6. Ebenezer Wilder.
  • Many internet resources indicate that Thomas and Anna's daughter Elizabeth married Jerathmeel Bowers, but as far as I can tell, that has not been proved.
