About Anna Christina Anderson

Anna Christina Olson was the 1st wife of Anders (Andrew) Anderson. She was born in Berringo, Sweden. Information from Lewis Robert Anderson Family Records.

DEATH NOTICE: The Manti Messenger, Thursday 31 December 1903: DIED IN SALT LAKE.

Manti, December 29. – President Lewis Anderson left today for Salt Lake City where he was summoned, having received word during the past night of the death of his mother, Anna Anderson, who has, during the winter season, been living with her son, Joseph Anderson, of the firm of Anderson-Taylor company. Mrs. Anderson was born in Sweden in 1822. She was a woman of health and ambition, and has raised a large family of honorable men and women. Her husband, Andrew Anderson, passed away about four years ago at their residence in Fountain Green. They are also the grandparents and great grandparents of some of the prominent people of the state, and both lived lives of usefulness. The family came to Utah in 1859 and passed through the hardships of the early settlers. She has children residing in Fountain Green, Manti and Emery county, and a large number of relatives in Colorado in the different Mormon settlements. It is expected that her remains will be brought to Fountain Green for burial, as it was her request that her body be buried beside that of her husband. It is likely that the remains will be brought to Fountain Green Thursday, and upon their arrival short funeral services will be held and the remains laid to rest that day. Her recent illness was short, but severe, she having an attack of pneumonia, which overcame her quickly. – Herald.

Daughter of Ole Olson & Christine Skarstrom.
