In July 1606, he married Anne Cranmer, daughter & heir of Robert Cranmer of Chepsted, Kent, at St. Mary the Virgin church, Aldermanbury, London. They had two sons: Cranmer Harris (b. 1608) and John Harris (b. 1611); and one daughter, Jane Harris (b 1609). Anne died in 1613 and Sir Arthur remarried on January 31, 1614/1615 in Saint Olave, Hart Street, London, to Anne Salter, daughter and sole heir of Sir Nicholas Salter of Enfield, Middlesex, Clothworker. Anne was the widow of Sir Henry Bowyer of Denham, Buckinghamshire. They subsequently had 5 sons and 5 daughters between 1615 and 1628.[3]

Her will, proved on 20 Apr 1676[7] has been transcribed by others [1].
She made bequests to:
her daughter Mrs Argall;
her daughter Mris Pert;
her son Mr William Bowyer and his son William;
her grandchild Miss Elizabeth Herris and her sisters Miss Anne Herris and Miss Mary Herris;
the daughter of her son Edward, and her two sons;
her son Mr Arthur Herris, his daughter Miss Elizabeth Herris and her son Edward.
Her son Thomas Herris was made sole Executor. Her will was to be buried at Arnall in Essex. It was recorded that Dame Anne had died on 01 Apr last.
The evidence given by Anne Handford and William Tomlinson, both of the Parish of St. Andrew Holborn, London, suggests that Dame Anne Herris may have been living at St. Andrew Holborn, London, prior to her death.
