Name: Anne CUMMINGS Surname: Cummings Given Name: Anne Sex: F Birth: BEF 22 Feb 1634/1635 in Mistley, Essex Co, England Christening: 22 Feb 1634/1635 Death: 29 Jun 1689 in Enfield, , Hartford Co, CT
Note:
According to letter I received from Bill Kingsbury 1958 SE Cates Circle,
Port St. Lucie, FL 34952 in October, 1992 (reviewing HIS ancestors) he states, MY Cummings line came to America with ISAAC in 1627 and settled in the Newbury, MA area. The Cummings trace back to the 4th century '''AD in Italy'''. They went to England with William the Conqueror according to the Cummings Family Association.
Further the Isaac Cummings Family Association pages reads: Although Ann would have been rather young for a long voyage, Isaac probably left England in 1635 or early 1636 since he obtained land in Watertown in 1636 and probably before. This fits well with Plummers' suggestion that Isaac may have in 1635 on the Great Hope of Ipswich, arriving in MA in August. Most probably the persecution of the Puritans at this time influenced his decision.
From: Cummings Genealogy - Isaac Cummings 1601-1677 of Ipswich in 1638 and some of his descendants, compiled and published by Albert Oren Cummins, Montpelier, VT, 1904., page 2:
