Because of the lack of census data in Horry (part of Georgetown District, SC) that names women of the time period, we will never likely know the names of Annie's parents except by deduction. She is most probably a daughter of Capt. Samuel Floyd and Ann Floyd. They were the earliest known Floyds in the region by deeds or court records before the 1790 census. That she was named "Annie" or probably Ann is a nod to her mother's name. The name Annie, Anna, Ann occurs throughout the Floyd Family.

Annie is likely a sister of Sarah "Prudence" (Floyd) Reaves and the illusive Catherine one of the suspected Unknown wives of Samuel Gerrald, Sr.

She is likely a sister to the Floyd Boys of Horry County who are linked to Capt. Samuel (and each other) through deeds, property lines, and other written records- Samuel Floyd, II , Moses Floyd, James Rowland Floyd, I , Francis Floyd, Frederick Hardee Floyd and Thomas Floyd.
