This table details the roll of passengers of the Planter, which sailed from London in mid-April, 1635, bound for New England. The ship arrived safe at Massachusetts Bay, although some of the persons listed below may not have debarked. The rolls represent persons who were ready to embark at the date of record, which often preceded the actual sailing by several weeks. Some may have decided not to sail. Some servants may have run away. And there usually was some loss of life among the passengers from disease and malnutrition during the passage.

This information was transcribed in the 19th century by James Savage, and later by Michael Tepper from records found in the Public Rolls Office, London......

313 ANTHONY EMERY m. 10 May 1738 Chelmsford, Middlesex, Ma. ABIGAIL LEAVITT b. 13 Sep. 1715 d. 22 Nov. 1799 Hampton, Rockingham, NH. d/o Thomas and Elizabeth (Atkinson) Leavitt.

Graduated Harvard College, 1736. He was the 1st physician in Chelmsford, MA.

He removed to Hampton, Rockingham, NH where he passed a very active, useful, and honorable life. He had an extensive medical practice and fine farm and carried on quite a trade in the West india goods.

He was auditor of selectmen accounts at Hampton, Rockingham, NH. 1753-6; selectman, 1757; mediator, 1766; surgeon during the Siege of Louisburg being commissioned by Sir. William Pepperrell, 10 Feb. 1745; enlisted in the expedition against Crown Point, Lake George under Sir William Johnson (Sir William In Geni) as Surgeon in Col. Jas. Blanchard's Reg. and was commissioned as Lt. in Capt. John Moore's co., discharged 5 Dec. 1755. In this expedition he was detailed to serve as an associate of John Hale.

He was one of the grantees of the town of Andover, NH (Early known as Emerytown See Emory Pond and Emery Rd)and built the 1st sawmill in that town. He d. 19 Aug. 1781 Hampton, NH.

He had an extensive medical practice and fine farm and carried on quite a trade in West India goods. He was Auditor of Selectmaen accounts at Hampton, 1753 -62. Selectman, 1757; moderator, 1766; surgeon during the siege of Louisburg, being commissioned by Sir WIlliam Pepperrell, Feb. 10, 1745; enlisted in the Expedition against Crown Point under Sir WIlliam Johnson as surgeon in COl. Jos. Blanchard's Regiment and was commissioned as Lieutnant in Capt. John Moore's Co.; discharged Dec. 5, 1755. In this expedition he was detailed to serve as an associate of John Hale. He was one of the grantees of the town of Andover, N.H., and built the first saw-mill in that town. He died at Hampton, Aug. 19, 1781. His wife died Nov. 22, 1799. Children listed: John, Sarah, WIlliam, Joseph, Thomas, Clement, Thomas, Nathaniel, Molly, Willard and WIllard."
