About Anton Joseph Kulas
Obituary:
Anthony (Happy) Kulas, 82, 1023 E. Wabasha St., died suddenly at his home. He was born Sept. 19, 1882 in Poland to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kulas. He had lived here for 70 years and was a member of St. Stanislaus Church. He was a retired Swift & Co. employee. Survivors are: Five sons, Michael, Walter, and Joseph, Winona; Anthony Jr., Milwaukee; and Alois, Fountain City, WI; two stepsons, Frank and Ben Kostuck, Winona; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Frances) Matejka and Mrs. Bud (Helen) Todd, Winona; one stepdaughter, Miss Estelle Kostuck, Minneapolis; 31 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. William Dorsch, Winona. His wife died in 1947. Funeral services were held Saturday at 8:30AM at Borzyskowski Mortuary and at 9AM at St. Stanislaus Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. N. F. Grulkowski officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
