Mrs. Dominic Cichosz

Mrs. Dominic Cichosz, Sr., 80, 1027 E. Wabasha St. died at 8:30 a.m. today at her home after an illness of a few weeks. She was born Jan. 17, 1872, in Poland, and came to Winona from there 77 years ago. She was a member of the Holy Rosary and Sacred Heart Societies and the Third Order of St. Francis of St. Stanislaus Church. Survivors are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Alphonse (Sarah) Van Alstine, Winona; Sister Methodia, Sisters of St. Joseph, Stevens Point; Mrs. Adolph (Helen) Kenner, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Henry (Rose) Richards, Garden City, Mich.; five sons, Walter, Sylvester, and Harry, Winona; Dominic Jr., Milwaukee, and Chester, Wausau, Wis.; 28 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Cichosz celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Nov. 22, 1937. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, the Rev. Lawrence Ginther officiating. Preliminary services will be at the Watkowski Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The rosary will be said at the funeral home Sunday and Monday at 8:15 p.m., Father Ginther leading the rosary Monday evening. Members of the societies will say the rosary Monday at 6:45 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday and Monday after 2 p.m.
