Archar Smith, Berkeley Co planter, owned plantations on the Cooper River, and on Goose Creek. He was co-owner of the schooner “Mary” and sole owner of the schooner “Trial.”
He served in the Eleventh Royal Assembly 1736-1739 from Goose Creek Paish and in the Thirteenth (1742-1745) and Fifteenth (1746-1747)
