About Arthur Salomon Levy

Arthur Salomo Levy was born on January 12, 1914 as the son of Jacob and Betty Levy in Neuwied.

He lived in Oberbieber, Mittelstrasse 61 (today: Friedrich-Rech-Strasse 176, Neuwied, Oberbieber district). He worked in the Jakobyschen Anstalt in Bendorf / Sayn.

According to the inmate files of the Dachau concentration camp memorial , he was there from November 15. until 9.12. Temporarily imprisoned in 1938.

Arthur Salomo Levy committed suicide on June 13, 1942 in Bendorf / Sayn in order to avoid deportation to a concentration camp on June 14, 1942. The date on the stumbling block is incorrect due to this information.

Lt. Entry in the file of the Gestapo Koblenz dated August 26, 1943, he "poisoned himself when the evacuation was announced".
