Entiat--Mrs. Audrey Lockwood, 73, a pioneer North Central Washington and Entiat Valley resident, died in a Wenatchee hospital Saturday following a sudden illness. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Harris, pioneers of this area, Mrs. Lockwood was born in Broken Bow, Neb., Aug. 17, 1886. In 1887 she came west with her parents, first settling on Badger Mountain. In 1890 the family moved to the Entiat Valley and with the exception of a brief time in Fargo, N.D., Mrs. Lockwood made her home here. Mrs. Lockwood was a member of the Entiat Federated Church, the Entiat Womens' Club, and was active in the Entiat Garden Club. Surviving are her husband, Chester M. Lockwood; one son, Harris Thomason, Ardenvoir; one daughter, Mrs. Esther Simpson, Wenatchee; three sisters, Mrs. W. K. McKenzie, Manson, Mrs. John Gardner, of California, and Mrs. George Cooper, Ardenvoir; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One son, Richard Thomason, preceded her in death.
