Mrs. Nioma Harris Gardner, 79, a former Wenatchee resident, died in a Renton nursing home on Thursday evening. Born in Entiat on Dec. 29, 1892, she spent her early life in the Entiat Valley. She was graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1912 and in 1915 was married to John S. Gardner here. They operated restaurants including the Peter Pan restaurant and Shishcoff's restaurant here. In 1941 they moved to Seattle where they operated restaurants and an apartment house. They retired in 1954 and made their home in Palm Springs, Calif., where her husband preceded her in death Oct. 12, 1970. Since the death of her husband, Kent had been her home. When in Wenatchee she was a member of Central Christian Church. Surviving are one son, John L. Gardner, Kent; a sister, Mrs. George Cooper, Ardenvoir; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
