Augustine was the son of Philip Webber, born about 1681 in Goochland County, Virginia and who married Annis Pasley in 1706 in New Kent County. Annis was born before 1691, and died before January 1748. Their children were: Augustine, Phillip, Jr., William, Annis, and Mary, and Anne.
Augustine's father, Phillip, was living in New Kent County, Virginia as early as 26 October 1699, when one John Webber was found in the records.

On 16 June 1714, Philip Webber of New Kent County was granted a patent of land totaling 100 acres by Governor Alexander Spottswood in St. Peters Parish. In 1727 Philip Webber purchased from Edward Moore, 404 acres on the north side of Tuckahoe Creek and from Colonel John Scott 100 acres on Tuckahoe Creek. Patent Book No. 13 describes a Patent belonging to Philip Webber of 1050 acres on the north side of the James River bordering Tuckahoe Creek, dated 28 September 1728. He continued purchasing land and selling parts over the following years. As he was reaching the end of his life, he had acquired over 700 acres of land which he left to various family members.

Daughter Mary married James England in Goochland County, Virginia at St. James Northam Parish on 1 October 1761. Augustine's son William became a minister in the Primitive Baptist Church movement when it was still against the law in Virginia to "preach without a license." He was jailed in the Urbana Prison in Middlesex County, Virginia and his followers stood outside the walls of the jail while he preached to them. After he served his sentence, he went on with his preaching eventually building his own Dover Baptist Church off the Manakin Ferry Road. His church still stands today. He is buried down the road in a small cemetery. William's son Matthew continued in his father's footsteps.
Augustine died in 1758 in Goochland County, Virginia. Today, on the property he owned, stands the Virginia State Prison.
