About Alexander McDaniel

Alexander has been reported to be the father of Henry Sr., which is questionable. It was based solely on "some old family letters", which were never seen by the genealogist who first suggested the name Alexander and which disappeared from the collection of the man who reportedly owned them. The genealogist, Esta McDaniel Lee published her 1975 history of the McDaniel family and only offered what she was told about Alexander but did not claim that it was true.
