AULDEN GOBEN
Funeral services for Aulden Goben, of Lucas, who was killed early Sunday morning when he was struck by a train at Alliance, Nebr., were held at the Presbyterian church in Lucas, Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. E. Beals, of Russell, and burial was in the Goshen cemetery.
Alfred Aulden Goben, eldest son of Alfred and Effie Goben, was born in Lucas, Iowa, on December 17, 1906, and departed this life July 11, 1937, at Alliance, Nebr., at the age of 30 years, 6 months and 25 days.
He grew to manhood in Lucas and was united in marriage to Miss Irene Kent, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kent, of Lucas, on March 23, 1929. To this union one daughter, Barbara Jacqueline, was born.
He leaves to mourn his departure his devoted wife and daughter, Barbara; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Goben, of Lucas; two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Bessie Heston of Osceola; Mrs. Jessie Griffiths of Lucas; Wilbert Goben of Moulton; Floyd and Edward Goben, both of Lucas; and a number of other relatives and many friends.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Jan 28 2021, 21:36:35 UTC
