This Ann Budd married her cousin Benjamin Horton (1670-1723), the son of Joseph Horton and Jane Budd. She did not marry the Benjamin Horton, son of Barnabas Horton, who was 40 years older than her. See Torrey's New England Marriages (in Sources) for the marriage of Benjamin Horton Jr. ( -1723) (3rd generation) and Ann Budd (1666- ) "aft 1684, 18 Jun 1686, bef 28 Dec 1688; Southold, LI/Rye, NY". This source also lists the marriages of Benjamin Horton (1627-1690) (2nd generation), clearly indicating that there were 2 men named Benjamin Horton in 2 different generations. Further, the document in Memories says Ann "now the wife of Benjamin Horton" and the elder Benjamin Horton had died before this document was written.

The Early Germans of New Jersey is wrong when it says Ann Budd, daughter of John Budd the immigrant, was married to Benjamin Horton, son of Barnabas, as demonstrated here. John Budd Sr. the immigrant did not have a daughter named Ann, and Benjamin Horton, son of Barnabas, married two other women.

Abstract of New York Wills, vol. I, 1665-1707 Will of Barnabas Horton: "To his eldest son Joseph he leaves 10 sheep to what he formerly had as his full portion. To second son he leaves the same."
